The Executive Director of The K.E.N. Project, Dina C. Kaplan is the mother of Brandon, an adolescent with multiple disabilities of unknown etiology. Dina is also a litigation attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience. Dina is an exceptional advocate for her son and has trained hundreds of families to be effective advocates for their disabled children. Dina also has fourteen years of experience representing families in Due Process Hearings, mediation, resolution conferences and other administrative hearings. The Assistant Director, Andrea Lorant is an Advocate and Educational Consultant. She is the mother of three children, two of whom have special needs. Andrea has a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and was a teacher with Los Angeles Unified School District for thirteen years prior to starting her Advocacy practice. Andrea is an experienced advocate who accompanies and advises families at IEP meetings, resolution conferences and mediations.
